Mario Lopez welcomes baby girl with girlfriend Courtney Mazza

TV actor and host Mario Lopez welcomed his first child, a daughter with girlfriend Courtney Mazza on Saturday. According to www.people.com, the couple has named the baby girl Gia Francesca Lopez.  Both mother and the infant have been reported to be doing well.

Mario Lopez, 36 met Coutney Mazza, a Broadway star, when Lopez made an appearance in a Broadway show, ‘A Chorus Line’. In an earlier interview, Mario Lopez had hinted at being settled down with Courtney Mazza and also revealed his intention of entering parenthood with the lady.

When the couple had just broken the news of Coutney Mazza being pregnant, Mario Lopex was quoted as saying “I’m really excited. I’m happy. I can’t wait to be a dad,”

The baby girl weighs 6 lbs., 4 oz and was delivered in Burbank, California. According to www.radaronline.com, Mario Lopez is overjoyed with the arrival of the girl. He went on to add: “What an amazing and overwhelming experience to welcome our daughter into the world.”

When questioned whether long time Playboy and Dancing with the Stars participant would take up the duty of diaper, the actor was prompt to reply “Of course,” He added “I grew up in a large family. I’m fired up!”

Celebrities who have recently given birth include Rachel Dratch, Jodie Sweetin and Catherine Bell.
