A recently conducted study has claimed that smokeless tobacco does not improve the addictive condition of any individual. According to www.sciencedaily.com, the latest study conducted by a team of researchers have proved earlier studies wrong that stated that smokeless tobacco products tend to decrease the craving for cigarettes. The study was backed by the American Heart Association Policy. The study suggests that people who resort to smokeless products as an alternative to smoking cessation should stop the use of those products because, these products hold the tendencies of making a person rather addictive and return him to smoking.

As reported by www.sciencecentric.com, smokeless products including chewing tobacco can raise the risk of heart stroke, fatal heart attack and even several cancer types. The study suggested that instead of smokeless products addictive individuals should opt for nicotine chewing gums or nicotine-releasing patch on the skin which have been clinically tested and report no serious ramifications. Mariann Piano, lead researcher of the study maintained that “No tobacco product is safe to consume,” He added that ‘Scientists and policy makers need to assess the effect of ‘reduced risk’ messages related to smokeless tobacco use on public perception, especially among smokers who might be trying to quit,’
