Hoffalicious David Hasselhoff is so cool he has his own popsicle: The Hoffsicle.

The irrepressible David Hasselhoff has been immortalised by those cheeky scallywags at Del Monte Iced Refreshments who look to be celebrating National Ice Cream Month with a rare treat for fans of the 59-year-old actor and showbiz host which comes in the shape of The Hoffsicle.

Yes indeed, coinciding nicely with the former Knight Rider star’s birthday, the Hoff has been proudly parading his pocket sized, frosty effigy on a stick – complete with its macho bare chest and turned up ‘Michael Knight’ collars – for public consumption and garnering much love for his raspberry flavoured mini-me.

And upon first taste he declared it Hoffalicious!

Undoubtedly the former singer and actor will delight fans in the U.S., Germany and Europe with his tasty ice-pop and having declared the Hoffsicle as the second favourite character he’s ever portrayed after Michael Knight, we could be about to see a summer of Hasselhoff in the western hemisphere.

The time is right, the flavour is strong and the price is good – even if taste is questionable. Perhaps Del Monte could make a talking car popsicle too so that we can re-enact our favourite scenes from Knight Rider before they melt into a red puddle of obscurity as they did towards the end of the 1980′s.

After posing and face pulling for the cameras, Hasselhoff spoke of his love for the icy snack which he feels has been finely crafted in his mid-80′s image. Is this a new high for the Hoff? It’s certainly a leg up from Britain’s Got Talent, the popular British peak time Saturday night show which proves by and large that Britain has anything but talent.

The Hoff as Michael Knight. Only this can top having a personal popsicle.

Some might say, “Now I have seen everything,” which would be foolish words, at least they were deemed so in Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s Team America in which the protagonist uttered those very words in response to a flying car. He was then asked if he’d ever seen a man eat his own head.

Well now we have, so I guess we really have seen everything.
