Orange County Choppers face foreclosure but not bankruptcy

American Choppers was a reality TV show which featured a family of roughneck bikers and steelworkers who turned their skills to building beautiful motorcycles at their Orange County Choppers facility in New York.
The business began as a side project to the family’s steel works and Paul Tuetel Sr and Jr. facilitated the day to day running and design work involved in building the extravagant custom bikes.
American Choppers was a huge success, their bikes were (and still are) considered works of art, and despite the sometimes ‘Osborn-esque’ family tantrums – usually instigated by the hot-headed Paul Teutel Sr – it provided good entertainment; a rarity for reality TV.
Their work featured incredible designs which were commissioned for individuals and groups alike. One memorable bike, built for the fire brigade, had the look of a fire truck complete with fireman’s helmet as the gas tank and a hydrant.
The crew of American Choppers also featured on Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman’s The Long Way Round in which the pair travelled across the world on motorbikes. McGregor was such a huge fan of the show that he bought a bike while visiting them.
News today is a sad indictment of the times we live in as the company is now facing foreclosure on its facility. The problem has arisen after unpaid mortgage arrears of $96,400 and $14,000. OCC refused to make payments as they wanted changes made to the loan agreement, given that deflation has dropped the price of the property which houses Orange County Choppers.
With the help of American Choppers and celebrity endorsements, Orange County Choppers has become an international brand and one would assume that they will take strides to ensure the longevity of their business, all of which is run from the same building.

Sometimes it can be surprising that with the fame and popularity that bring in some money, things like this happen. There were probably some things ignored along the way. They can still bounce back I believe, they can use their fame and skill to pick up the pieces and work together without the drama, as much as possible. They’d better manage their assets better.

No Money????? Watch the show and see what their house’s look like Sr’s garage is huge and full of bike and classic car’s and Jr’s house with giant statues on the front stairs it looks like a roman palace they should have saved some of the money looks like they spent more then they made

How could a little honesty in advertising hurt at this point?
The Discovery Channel needs a new show. How about putting the OCLDs on a crab boat above the Arctic Circle? Now that’s entertaining programming. Maybe throw in the Jersey Snore crowd to class things up. Paul Sr. and Snarkey in a hot tub. Talk about your king crabs!

All families have arguments. Watching a TV show doesn’t make an analyst. Paul Sr. is no idiot, nor is Paul Jr. Both are talented craftsmen and mechanics. Make up, Drop Law Suits. The Father loves the son and the son loves the Father. Respect each other. Sure each man is a good business man. Each could and does run their own mfg./ fab shop. Drop the Paul Jr. shop. Sell it to make up any arrears if possible. Paul Jr. go back to work with Sr. at O.C.C. Except this time Paul Jr. runs Web Specials and Mods. Paul Sr. runs Old school choppers. Leave each to his own. Both styles of bikes have big followings. Get your guys back together, the family..Vinnie, Rick, Chris, Codie, etc. All good craftsmen. Mikey, what can you say. Everybody loves Mike. It’s boring without him. Again, you’re a family; Inside way down deep you love each other. Forgive each other, get back to work, Make some bikes, Make some serious money. Don’t mess it up after coming this far. Always good TV. Great show.

How can you call Paul Sr. an idiot? All he has ever wanted was his son ( the laziest silver spoon boy I’ve ever seen ) to come to work on time not take longer lunch breaks than everyone else & to get the work done.
