Justin Bieber hospitalised after allergic reaction

JUSTIN BIEBER was hospitalised on Wednesday night in Burbank, California, after he suffered an apparent allergic reaction to something whilst on the set of TV drama CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION.
The tween pop sensation was wrapping up on the set after a day of shooting, rejoining the program to reprise his role as Jason McCann, an angst-ridden teenager. He experienced some breathing problems and was immediately taken to Providence St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Obviously ratings have been dipping in the show lately, or they want to get a new generation of viewers hooked; or Bieber’s parents (and agents) don’t feel he’s making them enough money.
Bieber was examined by his physician at the Burbank hospital, and after a little treatment he was discharged within 30 minutes.
One of Bieber’s reps told the press that, “He’s fine now and back on set,” after confirming the pop puppet had been to hospital.
Although sources are claiming that Bieber’s breathing problems were due to an allergic reaction, given his hectic schedule it seems more likely that he’s displaying the first signs of stress or exhaustion, and one wonders how long it will be before we’re seeing more headlines of this nature concerning the youngster.
Child stardom has a proven track record of negative effects, and the past is littered with stories of stars who seriously derailed after missing out on important development periods in their lives – many turning to drugs or falling into other addiction traps before stints in rehab.
You don’t have to look any further than Michael Jackson, Macaulay Culkin, Gary Coleman and Corey Haim.
Despite this minor health scare, Bieber is still down to be one of the presenters at the Golden Globe Awards in Hollywood on Sunday 16th January, 2011.
Teenage girls must have had a few bad nights sleep crying into their pillows although perhaps many consoled themselves by stabbing wax effigies of Gomez with pins.
