The University of Otago researchers have developed a line of products which can help people kick their smoking habits. The study done by the researchers on a group of smoking addicts has revealed that the product range has successfully been able to satisfy the nicotine craving in  the smoking addicts who call two of their products the best options ever developed to replace nicotine addiction. The product range will be made public in the near future.

Two of their products gaining appreciation from nicotine addicts include a small sachet that contains a powdery substance while the other product is a type of spray.  According to www.voxy.co.nz the study found that most smokers preferred taking these new products to the nicotine gum available at chemist shops and pharmacies. As per www.tvnz.co.nz powder sachet developed by the researchers called Snus contains Swedish oral tobacco while the spray which is called Zonnic contains nicotine and peppermint content and has a fruity smell.

The team of researchers suggested that a person who wishes to quit smoking will have to keep the powder in their mouth for sometime which will allow the nicotine to be released completely.

“The new Zonnic nicotine mouth spray is a good option for those who want to quit smoking but haven’t been able to do so,” says Otago University researcher Brent Caldwell.
