Ronaldo’s girlfriend hits out at GQ for Photoshopping her nude

Published: November 26, 2020

It is a rare thing to page through a fashion magazine these days and find a picture of a model or celebrity that hasn’t been under the electronic knife.

Doctored images have become de rigueur in the media industry, with breasts receiving a little lift, hips getting shaved down, skin smoothed out and tummies toned. But now a men’s magazine has taken the art of digital manipulation a step too far, with Irina Shayk — Russian model and girlfriend of Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo — appearing nude in the December issue of GQ.

And this despite the fact that she was clad in underwear for the entire duration of the shoot.

In a statement the managing director of Elite, Irina’s modeling agency, said: “Supermodel Irina Shayk is the victim of ‘photoshop’ and breach of contract over photo approval in GQ Spain.

“The Intimissimi ambassador dawns the cver in an Intimissimi lingerie body suit but unfortunately was photoshopped to appear naked in 3 images of the 14 pages spread.

“A contract was signed on behalf of Ms. Shayk by Elite Model Management where she was to have approval of the interview, cover and images and was refused that right by the publication.

“Miss Shayk was not nude and did not approve these images. Irina Shayk NEVER saw the images, cover or caption that was used in GQ Spain.”

The headline of the magazine reads: “Want to see the most beautiful creature in the world nude?”

Quite a slimy tactic to increase sales of the magazine, don’t you think?
