Lindsay Lohan can’t break free from caffeine and nicotine addiction

Published: November 28, 2020

She may be on the road to making her cocaine addiction a thing of the past, but Lindsay Lohan is still clinging onto two of her other vices: coffee and cigarettes.

On the weekend the 24-year-old actress, who has been receiving treatment at the Betty Ford Center since September, was seen chilling out at a local Starbucks with a few friends, drinking coffee and puffing away on several cigarettes.

The highly addicitve substances nicotine and caffeine are two of the most widely used mood -affecting drugs in the world.

Withdrawal symptoms from caffeine include symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, irritability and agitation. Giving cigarettes the boot can invite a host of symptoms including depression, mood swings, anxiety, changes in appetite and insomnia.

Unlike the recreational drug cocaine, which produces a feeling of intoxication, nicotine and caffeine only produce increased levels of energy. Withdrawal from the illegal stimulant can be so severe, with symptoms including muscle pains and spasms, shaking, fatigue, and reduced mental function, that severely addicted users usually require professional treatment to kick the dangerous habit.

Lindsay Lohan seems to be making major headway with overcoming her cocaine addiciton. And according to RadarOnline, the recovering star’s father recently sent her an electric smokeless cigarette in a bid to get her to quit smoking. One step at a time, we say.

Lindsay Lohan was ordered to enter rehab after she failed a drugs test. The star was arrested in September for breaching her conditions of bail before beginning treatment.

What total nonsense. Are you describing all the people of a coffee drinking nation like the US as addicts? And while smoking make not be socially desirable, many millions in the US are smokers too.

It appears you are trying to create a story out of nothing but peoples every day normality..

Early recovery is extremely difficult. Many recovering alcoholics and addicts use nicotine, caffeine, and food to cope. It can take years of stable sobriety to give someone the strength to unload these other dependencies. Shame on you.
