More youngsters patients of high blood pressure, says a research

According to a latest report published in www.dailymail.co.uk, more than one third of the youngsters have high blood pressure. It is always believed that hypertension is a problem related to the old people but according to the new study, 35% of the people in the age group of 16-34 are suffering from this problem. One in every twenty hypertension patients showed signs of blood pressure rising too high. The study was conducted on more than 8,000 people. The experts are of the view that lack of exercise, bad diet and excessive drinking in the youngsters is what is giving them hypertension. This in turn will lead to increase in the number of strokes, kidney problems and heart attacks.
According to www.mirror.co.uk, the survey was done by Shafeeque Mohammed, who is a health expert at Lloyds pharmacy and he is of the view that this is a matter of concern as the average readings were more than the expected levels. Most of the people do not take heed of this problem and think that they do not need to take an action but they should know that blood pressure can affect their health at any stage of their life. He also said that ‘It’s important for young adults to recognise the risk and take action by managing their lifestyles carefully.’
