Bret Michaels rushed to hospital

Bret Michaels’ recovery from a brain hemorrhage that saw he spend weeks in an ICU has hit a snag: he is now back in hospital, after suffering a minor stroke. Bret reportedly complained of feeling numb on one side of his body, and was taken to a hospital, where doctors diagnosed a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), RadarOnline.com reports.
“There is no doubt that [this] is devastating news to Bret and his family,” Bret’s doctor, neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Zabramski,writes on Bret’s website. “The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attack.”
Despite suffering this setback in his recovery, Bret’s spokesperson told PEOPLE that Bret is “in good spirits, great medical hands and is positive and hopeful that everything is going to be okay.
“He is up, walking, talking, continuing his daily rehab and very happy to be alive but he has made it clear he is sick and tired of being in the hospital and is ready to rock again.
Though whether he will be able to “rock again” as soon as he was hoping – for the ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ finale and a performance later this month – is more than doubtful. Doctors reportedly also found a hole in the singer’s heart during further examinations.
“Without a doubt he is very determined to get healthy and make a 100 percent recovery. Medically speaking it is a fantastic attitude both mentally and physically for him to have,” his doctor explains. “However, Bret’s brain and body are not quite 100 percent yet, especially with the hole found in his heart.”
The latest medical incident comes just days after Bret made a healthy appearance on ‘The Oprah Winfrey’ show.
