George Michael, famous for hits like ‘Last Christmas’ and ‘Faith’, got his first taste of success at the early age of 24. As has been observed in many celebrities who had success at an early age, the pressure of the business and being under constant observation and scrutiny can be too much to handle. His depression was also caused by the deaths of two loved ones. Talking about this period, George said, “It was a terribly depressing time.”

This whole episode of depression combines various tragic incidents in Michael’s life. Describing this, Michael said, “I lost my partner to HIV then it took about three years to grieve; then after that I lost my mother. I felt almost like I was cursed.”

“I hadn’t seen her for a couple of years by the time she died,” he added

Michael fought back like a true warrior and on his comeback concert, Michael showed his happiness and said, “It is “incredible” to be touring North America again after almost 20 years of feeling depressed and “cursed”.”
