Lady Gaga Uses Winehouse Death to Self Promote

Published: July 29, 2020

The quietly talented Amy Winehouse is dead – the chanteuse sadly more notorious for her self-destructive lifestyle than famous for her haunting voice. Amy Winehouse was about as comfortable with the fame monster as someone with a dead leg wrapped in bacon is in a room full of peckish vultures who just lit a joint.

But making slightly more trivial news today is Lady Gaga – the antithesis of Amy Winehouse - who once again is garnering headlines just because of what she is wearing and that is a frightening indictment of the society we live in.

Despite never having met Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga has spoken out and managed to make Winehouse’s death somehow about her. She spoke of the effect that the English singer had on her back when she was just a very normal looking baby she-devil desperate for attention and even claimed that she was mistaken for Amy Winehouse, before she’d found fame herself.

“I was nobody when she [Amy Winehouse] was first coming out. I would be on the street and people would go ‘Amy’.I just remember feeling like I wasn’t alone because she was so different.”

A very eccentric Lady Gaga was often mistaken for Amy Winehouse because she was so different too, apparently.

The star who is known for her eccentric outfits on and off stage couldn’t be more different than the recently defunct Winehouse. Whilst Gaga is desperate for the attention, Winehouse was commensurately desperate to live a normal life. Whereas Gaga needs to be adored like some kind of outrageously divine religious idol, Winehouse favoured a drink or nine with close friends in a local pub. She was an unwilling celebrity and an uncomfortable icon, mentally and emotionally unprepared for the fame and notoriety that amplified her condition and accelerated her demise.

Perhaps this is the general difference between the British and U.S. mentality. The British are discouraged from being anything much beyond mediocre whereas Americans are encouraged to aim high and be the best.

Where photos featuring Gaga look staged and premeditated, there are as many images of Winehouse looking dishevelled and out of it, caught by unprincipled photographers, as there are of her looking striking and sassy. Gaga’s best friends are the paparazzi – theirs is a reciprocal bond; they need each other, they would die without one another. For Winehouse the permanent sentinel of paparazzi stealing unpleasant shots of her and not allowing her any privacy clearly must have had a deleterious effect.

Put your powers of observation to the test - can you tell the difference between these two women?

That aside, Gaga has been photographed today wearing a slinky dress with a neckline so plunging, she had to wax her labia prior to wearing it. That’s news.

The singer also organised for paper sacks of McDonalds takeouts to be delivered to a bunch of her fans that were waiting outside the Chateau Marmont Hotel located in West Hollywood, where she was staying prior to her appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

I’m not sure killing your fanbase off with carcinogenic, low-grade meat products from one of the world’s most unprincipled ‘food’ manufacturers is a great way to guarantee career longevity. I wonder if she eats from the golden arches. Also a nice move from someone who is said to support PETA.

In addition she scribbled them a twee note that read: “Dear little monsters. Thank you for singing to me all day and night. I love you with all my heart. You make everyday worth living. Kisses to the cops for keeping you safe. Love Lady Gaga.”

I wonder what Bill Hicks would have made of Lady Gaga? Oh wait a minute, I think I know.

Both messed up just in slightly different ways, You dont have to look too deep to see why they are the way they are (were). Text book issues nothing special.

Interesting that Gaga had originally said she changed her hair color to blond because too many people were mistaking her for Winehouse. Obviously she didn’t find it complimentary back then.

No need to compare the two. Their musical paths and purposes are complete opposites.
