Anna Nicole Smith fell victim to her addicitons

Born in 1967, Anna Nicole Smith was an American model and a very popular television personality. She started her career as a waitress in a restaurant and then became a great dancer and started taking modeling lessons . Her career took off in 1992, when she appeared on the cover page of the ‘Playboy’ magazine. One of the most publicized aspects of her life was the fact that she married an 89-year-old billionaire in 1993, when she was just 26 years old. Scolded by the public for marrying just for the money, Smith always maintained she loved him. 13 months later, her husband, J. Howard Marshall, passed away, and Smith entered a vicious court battle for his inheritance.
She flagged off her film career in 1994 with appearances in ‘The Hudsucker Proxy’ and ‘Naked Gun 33 ½’. In 1997, she did a role in famous thriller called the ‘Skyscraper’. Anna Nicole Smith did not stop here and she launched her own television reality show ‘The Anna Nicole Show’ which was the highest rated show on the television. This wasn’t to last forever, as it bombed after a short while.
The following years saw her act in films including ‘Be Cool’ and ‘Illegal Aliens’ in 2005. However things were not as rosy on the personal front. Anna faced a troubled personal life after her divorce with her husband.
On September 7, 2006, her daughter was born in Nassau, Bahamas. Her son 17-year-old son Daniel, from her first marriage, died in Smith’s hospital room three days later while visiting her and his newborn sister. An initial autopsy did not present the results Smith was looking for, hence she hired a forensic pathologist to discover the truth: Daniel died from a prescription medication overdose.
That Smith took drugs was a known fact. Often she behaved mysteriously during performances, often not making any sense. Anna Nicole checked herself into rehab but the stint was unsuccessful.
In 2007, she was found unconscious and the reports disclosed drug overdose as the only reason behind her death. She was addicted to drugs like benzodiazepines, klonopin, Serax and valium. She fell victim to drugs due to her unstable life with her husband and then her son’s death completely shook her world. But Anna was not fortunate enough like other celebrities to battle her addiction.
